Cereal soilborne pathogens workshop – Esperance

The interactive workshops will present detailed information about the various cereal soilborne pathogens and the root diseases they cause.

Information will cover the life cycle, host range, symptoms, crop impacts and management options for the various root diseases.

Growers who are attending are encouraged to bring in their own plant specimens from paddocks where they suspect root disease may be present.  They will learn how to wash soil from plant roots and to identify the key symptoms indicating the main root diseases.

The workshops will discuss management tactics for the various pathogens.
